Content Context
Jake Limond Fight Night - For this project, I was requested by the client to shoot his live boxing match at the Braehead arena. This was a physically challenging shoot as there were hundreds of people in one room, with near enough 5 photographers and videographers all trying to shoot content. Boxing is a tough sport to capture as anything could happen at any time, therefore, I needed to be on my toes and shoot content at all time. One of the most vivid memories of this night was having 30 seconds to swap camera gear and batteries around before the round commenced.
CJM Lumina Event - CJM Lumina were holding a celebration event of their recent changes to their business, and they had requested my services to highlight and showcase the event in video form, to be posted on their social medias. CJM Lumina also requested talking head interviews, of which, I included in part of my 'run and gun' camera setup, quickly allowing to clip my lapel mic onto the subject and shoot the video.
Collab Cut Promo - For this project, the client asked me to shoot a main promotional video and a batch of 4 reels for the brand to post
on their social medias. As I researched the client, I noticed their barbershop had an incredible and unique aesthetic, which I knew was crucial to making the videos feel like they belong to Collab Cuts. When editing videos, I always make sure that my editing style reflects and represents the style of my client. So for this video, I experimented with new editing techniques and visual effects that grabs the attention of a viewer, whilst matching the minimalistic aesthetic. The client was very impressed by the videos and asked me to continue making content weekly, allowing their brand to gain attraction and consistency online.
Jake Limond Boxing Promo - For this promotion video the client asked for something that will spark hype and show he's working hard, all whilst promoting his next fight. The client asked for me to take full control of the video and create something that will get people excited. This video perfectly projects how beautiful videography with a twist of creativity, can help tell a story or deliver emotions to an audience. The client posted this video and within 1 week it had gained over 6,500 views on his instagram account alone.
Alan Forster Promo - This cinematic and up beat advert was commissioned by a client who had seen my previous work and wanted a modern, polished video that captured the essence of their barber shop. With a tight deadline, I quickly organised the project, developed a shot list, filmed, and edited the advert within a time frame that left the client impressed. The finished video was delivered to the client and provided them with a timely visual refresh for their business.
2 Home Street Lanark - For this project, the client requested to create a cinematic video that perfectly represents the house and makes the target audience want to buy the house. This video showcases and highlights the importance of video when selling a subject. Each shot has a crucial meaning towards brining emotion and capturing the audiences attention, all whilst showing off what the house has to offer.
The Bonnevilles Tour Film - This project marked one of my earliest client collaborations, where I was personally commissioned to film for a well-known punk rock band from Glasgow. My goal was to capture the band’s essence by creating an upbeat, high-energy video that perfectly reflects their vibe and spirit.
Race Of Remembrance - This Race of Remembrance video is one of my proudest projects, created for a client participating in the Race of Remembrance—a demanding 12-hour event that tests the endurance of cars and teams. At the client’s request, I traveled to Wales with my selected equipment and filmed almost continuously to capture every critical moment of the event. This project highlights not only my videography and editing expertise but also my strong capabilities in pre-production and production planning. Despite the challenges, I had directed, shot and edited this project, completely by myself and delivered to the client.
Wallace Emporium Advert - This dynamic and concise advert was created at the request of a client looking to modernize their presence on social media. I recommended crafting a well-structured video that authentically captured the shop’s unique vibe and atmosphere. The result effectively showcases the business, making it easy for potential customers to connect with their brand through the video.
